And slowly the journey towards healing began. With the empathy and quiet support of my counselor, I am able to say ‘no’ to abuse, started feeling more confident, more conscious of my rights and needs. I have no rage, and quickly recover after some occasional episodes. I am paying more attention to myself and feel more valued. I have neatly rebuilt my life- thanks to my counselor, and now there is love, respect and security in my life in place of abuse, suffering and anxiety. “I had a marital problem. After my marriage, my husband stayed with his mother in a city around 2 hours away from our city and I had to travel on weekends and help her over there.
